Just outside of Kampong Cham is a little impoverished village. We were able to walk all over the village and look into their homes. Some were cleaning fish and others were preparing sugar cane. Our guide showed us the types of fish sauce that they ferment. One woman shared her soup with us. The children were as fascinated with us as we were with them.

The temple we visited today was built in 1968. It too had killing fields and a memorial to those who died.

Close to where the ship docked was a bamboo bridge. We walked across the crunchy bridge to see the sandy beach on the island. Halfway back we were soaked with a little rain shower, but it ended before we reached land. The bamboo bridge is taken down during the rainy season and then put up again during the winter.
