This mango tree has seen 300 years in Angkor Wat. It has seen the destruction during the Khmer Rouge. They took over this site and destroyed many artifacts.

Angkor Wat was built from 1113 – 1150 as a Hindu temple. It was only later that it became Buddhist. It is the largest religious site in the world. It is the size of 400 soccer fields. The intricate carvings and stories told on the walls are amazing. The steps are at 70 degrees, very steep. We walked up 37 steps to the top, it is called the stairway to heaven.

Some fun shots from our walk in town and around the Sofitel hotel.
