Frankfurt/Oslo

In the last few weeks the Texas panhandle has seen buckets of rain. It only goes to figure that we would have a delay out of Dallas due to a thunder storm. Flying into Frankfurt this morning though, we saw just sunshine and beautiful weather.

Victor picked us up at the airport and treated us to a healthy breakfast downtown on the Main. Then back to his house to sit on the terrace with Carolin and Herr Schmidt before heading back to the airport to catch our flight to Oslo.

Our luggage was slow to get from the plane to the conveyor belt, but both bags made it on the four legs of the trip. We took the track 4 train to our hotel downtown. It ran straight from the airport and took about 25 minutes. The airport had a totally different feel from other airports. The main terminal has beautiful oak floors and as we came off the plane there were groups of children playing organized games on the floor. The area that connects to the train station is nicely designed too.

If a tornado hits Oslo we are covered. Our apartment is B001 and on another positive note we each have our own bathroom with a shower. My thought was that Oslo probably isn’t in tornado alley, but on June 1, 2019 they had an EF 5 tornado. So we will sleep better tonight.

Dinner tonight was at Peppes Pizza, no more than a two star place, but clean and we did eat it all. Oslo is an expensive place to eat, no Dominos here.

Oslo wheat beer with a slightly orange taste.
