I really wanted to touch this statue. It looked like it would really feel like real skin.

The “Far from Home” exhibit at the ARoS Museum focuses on the idea of home and the challenges faced by individuals in modern society, the exhibition asks the question – where is home? It is not talking physically, but more the feeling of being at home.

Erro was born in Iceland in 1932. He is a visual artist and painter, who is best known for his painted pop art collages of images from comic books and advertisements. The colors are so vivid and full of surprises.

Every day on the ship they have high tea. Today we tried it. Scones, finger sandwiches and tea. It may sound refined, but we had our spot of tea while watching the fascinating shipyard loading their ships to head to Iceland.

There seems to be some confusion about the name of this city. It is written Aarhus or Århus, back and forth all over the city. Apparently they just cannot decide. The city has changed it back and forth throughout its history, but it is pronounced the same “Or hoos”.
