The story is either this is a man at work or just a man peeping under womens skirts. If you rub his head it is said to give you luck.
In the morning we have been having breakfast with two lovely British ladies. They have been teaching us their language with a colloquial slant. Just brilliant fun and hoping we don’t need a gamp in the mornin’!

Our guide showed us the town hall area, with two buildings and an older building from medieval times. She said that the town executioner didn’t have much business, so they gave him several jobs. He took care of the prostitutes, shoveled snow, did the gardening and was the dentist. We got a big kick out of this because we have been hanging around with a dentist/orthodontist most of this trip. Mary and Bob are from Kansas City and their Mizzou and Chiefs attire caught our eye from the start. Great couple and really have enjoyed getting to know them and now we call him the executioner, all in jest of course.

The St. Martin church is where Maria Theresa was crowned. Then as the saying goes, “There is nothing more permanent than temporary”. So after Maria Theresa was crowned they stopped using St. Martin’s and the crowning ceremonies moved to Budapest.

We went back out this evening and the Opera House really shines at night. It is currently under repair, so we were not able to go into the house.
