Golfing Day, Deer Park, Howth, Ireland

From the practice green.

When we came into Dublin on Thursday, we saw a couple going  golfing. They suggested that we go to Deer Park to play. So we went online and got a tee time for 11:20 today. It takes about an hour from Tara Station to get to Howth and the course.

We rented clubs and met two Swedish gentlemen on the first hole.

Chris and Mats were a joy to play with. It was clear they were just here to have a quiet and fun game of golf.

The front nine was pretty easy to play and walk, but the back nine was up hill and quite difficult.

22,000 steps later we finished and went looking for good seafood. This course had no bathrooms on the course, just a continuous 18 holes and no drink cart. We walked into Howth, a seaside town and found the Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant. We had fabulous oysters and then seabass, broccoli, potatoes and shrimp.

Yum!!

We are heading back to Dublin on the train now. It was a very good day on the coast.
