We made it to Frankfurt early and into Paris late, but all our luggage arrived too. We found our way to the train and headed to our hotel where we had stayed in 2017. The couple that we sat by on the train waited for us when we got off and asked us if we needed any help finding our way to our connection. So nice to see that people don’t think we are just terrible tariff folks.

After checking in we took the subway down towards the Eiffel Tower to walk the streets and look for a restaurant. We read that going around 7:00 you can get into most places without a reservation. We found a ton of Italian places that looked good, but we wanted something more in tune with where we were. We finally found one called Les Bosquet. Bryan’s duck confit won for the evening, it was melt in your mouth delicious. We met a couple from San Francisco sitting next to us and they have lived here for 6 years. They were getting ready to go to Ireland to escape the heat since their apartment has no air conditioning.

When walking along the Seine after dinner, we saw a huge line of people, they were all waiting to get on party boats. We kept walking.

It is a magical city.
