A cot is a place where the shepherds tend to their sheep and a wold is a high place. So…Cotswolds.










This church is the oldest church in this area and shows remnants of doomsday art for those in that time that did not understand Latin.


Just down the narrow road a bit was this store/nursery/grocery called Daylesford Organic. A Martha Stewart type place.




















Below is the alley used to move sheep to market. The sheep industry is the biggest industry and has been for centuries. The wool here is not as good as the wool in New Zealand. Most of the wool is used for insulation for building.




Below is a brewery that brews for 15 local pubs, and those pubs only can sell Donnington beer. They have been in this business for 159 years. This mill has been in place since 1300.







The town of Snowhills is like many others, it has a church and a pub.














After our full day with our wonderful driver Ian, we walked two towns away to Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a 45 minute walk each way, but with the scenery it went fast.
